If you own a pre 2000 BSD Sail kit the plastic pieces on the cross tube will have become brittle and will fail due to the composition of the plastic. We recommend changing both the female hinges and the mast partner to eliminate these components. This new upgraded  set includes 4 female hinges rather than the original 2 and will install more easily.
