When you sail fast a kayak rudder will lift up and make steering difficult and stress the blade. Attach this 12' long  down haul line to the lower hole in your SYK sailing rudder blade to apply the correct amount of pressure to the blade while sailing after you attach clam cleat to your deck. If you strike an object the bungee will let the blade raise up with out damaging your kayak or the rudder. Clam cleat included.
