Easy Rider Kayak
The Easy Rider Kayak company was founded in the 1970's building whitewater kayaks. The owner Peter Kaupat began building sea kayaks shortly there after. One unique feature that made the Eskimo kayaks popular was a series of grooves built into the decks. This allowed various catamaran and out rigger configurations. Later on when Balogh Sail Designs (BSD) started producing a high performance "Batwing" kayak sail in the 1990's Easy Rider began installing them on their kayaks. For many of us this was our first introduction to kayak sailing via the advertisements in canoe and kayak magazines of the time. Easy Rider closed in 2018 when Peter retired. Many of these kayaks are still available used. Please browse the products below to see how we can upgrade your paddling or sailing experience.
From time to time I will offer used kayaks and spare parts as I acquire them.
