Lake Arbuckle County Park
Feb 3-10 2026 We are helping to coordinate and share this new sailing location in central Florida. It checks most of the boxes for a good Sails Angels gathering. It has mix of 35 RV & 20 tent sites located in a cypress forest on a to 3800 acre lake that is approx 4.5 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. There are a few bugs, hot showers and toilets. The boat launch is next to the camping area. The area is popular with a few local fishing enthusiasts launching throughout the day and evening. Air boats are uncommon but can appear. The McDill Airforce base at the end of the lake sends up a few planes and makes noise sometimes. The nearest big town is Sebring - 32 miles. There is usually a good breeze, the birding and wildlife are great,we enjoy biking on the entrance road and the Lake Wales Ridge State Forest land just a mile away. Email Jon for details. [email protected] The Lake Arbuckle County park will begin accepting reservations sometime this summer. The sites are currently $20/night and first come first served with space always available weekdays and most weekends in the winter.
