This month on Craig's List I came across a 15' x 24" racing kayak that weighs 40# made by the Stardust Fiberglassing Company in Eugene Oregon. It may have been a compact tandem with the 56" cockpit and two paddles. Not much else is known as the internet has not offered any clues. Fortunately it was stored indoors and is in good shape. My guess at the vintage from the serial # is 3/1974. It's new life back on the water will include fitting it out with a Long haul BSD mounting board and a 32' BSD sail rig. Stay tuned for more pics.
